December 2005 Journal

December 2005

December 28th 2005 - I don't know why this time I get this vivid image of walking along in the woods.  Minding my own business - enjoying nature.  Somewhere off in the distance there's a noise I can't quite hear, can't identify.  Again this sound - is it thunder?  I begin to be able to make it out - it's the sound of a train and it's coming fast..

2 evenings ago, I noticed a small numb patch on my left thigh.  By the next morning this patch was not only still there but had grown in size.  By that evening it had progressed down to my left ankle and up to the tops of my thighs.  Today it's starting on the thigh of the right leg and the back of my shoulders ( upper trapezius).

I've got an appointment this afternoon with my replacement neurologist.  I'm expecting another MRI and a round of IV steroids...  we shall see
