September 2003 September 2nd, 2003 - Been a while since I've written! The move was long and hard and left me very tired for the first 3 weeks after we arrived BUT I didn't have another relapse! Switching health plans and doctors has been much more difficult to do than I had anticipated. I still haven't been able to have bloodwork drawn to check my liver functions (although I'm sure they are back to normal after being off Rebif for such a while). I do have an appointment with a neurologist this Friday to get established and to talk about my next plan of action as well as having my liver functions checked. Will post updates.
September 18th, 2003 - Received a phone call from my neurologist's nurse. Seems my AST & ALT were slightly above normal. A definate improvement from my bloodwork done in June. My neurologist wants to check my liver enzymes again next week and if they are continuing the downward trend towards normal, he wants to start me back up on a low dose of Rebif. He says that some people if they are rechallenged very slowly don't react again. He wants to give Rebif another chance before going on Copaxone. I have to say I'm glad we're trying Rebif again and I hope that I tolerate it better this time. We'll see how the bloodwork goes next week!
